Application Directory
The Application Directory is 9ine's pre-vetted catalogue of application templates. From within your Application Library, an Application Library administrator switches to the directory layout to browse these 9ine-maintained templates, preview them, and Quickstart the ones you want into your own Application Library, where you customise and publish them to your staff. It gives administrators a centralised, efficient way to discover and adopt quality-assured EdTech without building each entry from scratch.
The Application Directory offers the following key benefits:
- Faster Application Onboarding: Reduces time spent manually researching and adding applications.
- Pre-Vetted Applications: Provides access to applications curated by 9ine to ensure quality and compliance.
- Seamless Integration: Works directly within the Application Library; no additional setup is required.
- Improved Workflow: The Quickstart workflow ensures applications are reviewed and customised before being published.
- Simplified Navigation: A dedicated Switch Layout icon makes toggling between the library and the directory straightforward.

Accessing Application Directory
Upon purchasing the Application Platform, your organisation's 9ine Platform Administrator(s) must assign Application Library administrator permissions through User Management (located in the header) to grant users access to the directory. They should tick the option labelled Access to publish, Quickstart, bulk upload, edit and delete items in the Application Library. This permission level provides assigned administrators with full access to manage all aspects of the Application Library, including directory access and Quickstarting items into your organisation's library. Authorised Users do not have access to the directory.
When navigating to the Application Library, administrators will see the Switch Layout icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page (hovering over it shows the tooltip Switch to the Application Directory layout). Selecting it toggles between the library and the directory, with a distinct theme differentiating the two views for clear navigation.

Understanding how to Quickstart from the directory
Begin by selecting the Switch Layout icon (its tooltip reads Switch to the Application Directory layout). You will then see a curated, library-style view of all pre-assessed applications, each marked with the 9ine logo to show it is provided by 9ine. From there, you can click Preview to review the content provided by 9ine, or select Quickstart to add the application directly into your library. If your organisation's Application Library contract does not cover an entry, you will see a Request button in place of Quickstart.

Applications 9ine has flagged as meeting its certification standard carries a Certified banner on its tile.

When selecting Quickstart, administrators are prompted to review, edit, and customise the application information to align with their organisation's needs. Further details on creating a new application in the library are available here.

Once the data has been customised to suit your organisation's needs, administrators can choose to Publish the application, making it accessible to all Authorised Users within the organisation via the Application Library. Applications that are saved without being published are not visible to Authorised Users.
Configuring application notification settings
Global Due Date Notifications Alerts
To ensure you're always informed of key moduleName milestones, users can configure their personal notification preferences within the Notification Settings area of the 9ine Platform. This enables both email and in-Platform alerts for important events in the moduleName lifecycle such as end dates, due dates, renewal reminders, termination deadlines, and next review dates.
To activate alerts:
- Navigate to your Notifications (available in the header)
- Click the Notification Settings icon
Toggle Global Lifecycle Alerts on for both In Platform and Email to receive notifications through both channels.

Under Reminder, you can select how far in advance you would like to be notified of an upcoming milestone (e.g. 7, 14, or 30 days before the due date). This ensures you receive early warnings before deadlines approach. You can choose any period from 1 to 31 days in advance.
These reminders are designed to give moduleName owners and stakeholders enough lead time to review, act, or make decisions before renewal or termination windows close.

To receive multiple reminders, you can enable Repeat notifications.
- Repeats are available in weekly intervals and are only triggered if your chosen reminder period is 7 days or more.
- The number of notifications is based on your reminder window:

For example:
- If your reminder is set to 10 days, you’ll receive 1 notification.
- If it’s set to 16 days, you’ll receive 2 notifications.
This flexible notification system helps ensure key events never go unnoticed, especially in busy school environments where planning ahead is essential.
