This video introduces the Incident Dashboard, a central hub for monitoring cyber security incidents and data breaches that gives IT, Data Protection and Senior Leadership teams the metrics they need to manage incidents.
- Open the Incident Dashboard from the left navigation menu.
- Note: Access comes with the Incident Management or Privacy Platform licence; once your organisation has purchased either, all users automatically get access.
- Expect limited data or 'No records available' messages until incident records are logged.
- Understand that your permissions determine what you can see. Incident permissions are: Owner, Member, Notified User, Data Protection Lead, IT Lead, Attachment Reviewer and Incident Closure Approver.
- Browse the 22 cards, which use Column Charts, Donut Charts, Geo Charts, Gauge Charts and Table Charts.
- Use Column charts to see key metrics such as potential risks to data subjects – for example, loss of confidentiality, identity theft, financial fraud and reputational damage.
- Use the Geo Chart to see incidents by country.
- Tip: Hover over a country marker to see whether the incident is open or closed.
- Use Donut charts to classify open incidents as Near misses, Non-reportable or Reportable.
- Use Table charts for detailed sorting; clicking an entry takes you to the incident management log, already filtered to match.
