We are excited to introduce several updates across the Platform, including enhancements to:

  • Risks & Issues
  • The notes column on all Governance logs
  •  and the ability to delete incidents.

The introduction of controls, KPIs, and root cause for risks and issues

  • In response to user feedback and applying general risk management principles, we have enhanced the Risks & Issuesmodal by introducing three new tabs
    • Control
    • KPI
    • Root Cause
  • These tabs provide organisations with dedicated sections for managing key elements crucial to risk management, while maintaining the familiar functionality of the Checklist tab.
  • To keep Risks & Issues Owners informed, in-Platform notifications have been developed for changes made in the new tabs. These notifications trigger whenever content is added, updated, or deleted from the Control, KPI, or Root Cause tabs. For example:
    • A notification will be sent when a Risk Root Cause is added, updated, or deleted.
    • Similar notifications will be sent for changes made in the Control or KPI tabs, ensuring that Owners are aware of any updates to critical risk-related data.

Adding the notes column to the governance logs (project groups, projects, risks, issues, lessons, and tasks)

  • With this update, users can now see notes at a glance directly from the log, eliminating the need to open the relevant popup for each item to check for notes. A new Notes column has been introduced in the various logs.

Introducing the ability to delete incident forms

  • In response to user feedback, we have enhanced the Incident Management functionality, allowing incident owners and 9ine Platform administrators to delete incidents directly from the log using the Delete option available in the menu.
  • As part of this development and with an aim to align this area of the Platform with others, we have replaced the archive status with Close.
  • If an incident has associated child items (such as risks, issues, lessons, and tasks) they will also be deleted or closed when deleting or closing an incident.

Introducing permission prompts for forms

  • We have introduced a prompt across all forms (DPIA, RoPA, IM, POA) to notify users that when they remove their own name from any key role (such as owner, member, reviewer, approver, data protection lead or IT lead), they will lose access to the form. This ensures users are aware of the impact of removing themselves from these roles. Administrators, who have global access throughout the 9ine Platform, are exempt from this change.
