We are excited to announce the release of the Incident Dashboard, a new feature designed to enhance how users monitor and manage incidents. Additionally, updates have been made to the Governance Dashboard to improve the overall user experience.
The launch of the incident dashboard
- Users with access to Incident Management will be able to navigate to the Incident Dashboard feature in the left navigation menu.
- In the header, various options have been provided for enhanced usability.
-
Refresh Button: A Refresh icon is located at the top of the dashboard. Clicking it allows users to instantly update the data displayed. The Last Updated field, located beside the refresh button, shows the most recent date and time of updates in the format (DD/MON, HH). If no data is available (for new users or empty organisations), the refresh button is disabled to prevent confusion.
-
Date Range Picker: The Date Range Picker is set by default to display data from the last 30 days. Users can adjust this to view data from custom date ranges, providing flexibility in tracking incidents over specific periods and tailoring how incident timelines are displayed.
-
Filter: The Filter function allows users to refine the data presented on the dashboard. This feature is especially useful for large organisations or users managing multiple incidents, as it helps narrow down the results to relevant data points based on incident attributes.
-
View: The View popup includes the details of all incident dashboard cards. By default, the order of the cards on the dashboard matches the order set in the View. If users attempt to deselect all options, an error message will appear, stating: Minimum of one selection is required. This View functionality operates similarly to other areas of the Platform, allowing users to customise which cards are displayed.
-
Sequence Options: In the left-hand corner of each dashboard card, users have the option to assign a unique sequence number (e.g., 1, 2, 3, etc.). Upon assigning these numbers, the cards on the dashboard will automatically rearrange themselves to reflect a user's specified sequence order. Any changes are automatically saved and retained on the next login. The changes applied to the sequence order of the dashboard cards and in the View popup are user and dashboard specific and are only applied to an individual's profile. The sequence order in the View popup does not update to reflect the sequence order added to the individual dashboard cards.
- My Incidents: By default, the My Incidents toggle is set to On, meaning the dashboard will display incidents where the user is the owner, member, approver, data protection lead, or IT lead. This feature helps users focus on incidents they are directly responsible for or involved in.
-
Clear Filters & Date Range Button: This functionality enables users to reset all applied filters and date selections at once. When filters or date ranges are applied, this button becomes active. A single click will revert the dashboard to its default view, removing any applied constraints for a comprehensive look at all Incidents.
-
Limited Data: Initially, users might encounter limited data or No records available messages on dashboard cards until data is entered on incident forms.
Enhancements to the governance dashboard to aid user clarity
- We have made enhancements to the Governance Dashboard to provide additional clarity and improve the user experience. These updates aim to minimise confusion, particularly when certain cards are not affected by date selection or filter settings.
- An info icon has been introduced next to dashboard cards where date selection, filtering, and the My Actions toggle do not apply. This icon helps users understand why these functions may not impact certain cards.
- The tooltip for the icon states: The functionality for date selection, filtering, and My Actions does not apply to this card. Additionally, closed items are not included in this card.
Improving the process of adding multiple members
- We have introduced a new Select All function for adding members to Project Groups, Projects, and Tasks, following user requests to simplify the process of selecting multiple members at once.
- The Select All button automatically selects all available users in the list, except for the owner of the project group, project, or task. This eliminates the need to manually select each user individually.
- When using the Select All function, all members are selected, with their checkboxes automatically ticked. If a user wants to add most, but not all members, they can simply uncheck the specific users they don’t wish to include.
