We are excited to introduce new functionality in the Gantt Chart and improvements to the Governance Platform Permissions.
Editing a project or task directly from the Gantt chart
- Previously, users were unable to edit projects or tasks directly within the Gantt Chart. This update introduces clickable project and task bars, allowing users to make edits without navigating back to the respective logs.
- When a user clicks on a bar, the respective popup (for the project or task) will open, enabling them to make changes.
- Users can edit details and click Save or Cancel to apply or discard changes, just as they would when editing via the respective log.
Changes to the Governance Platform permissions for associated forms
- The current Governance permission structure allows risks, issues, lessons, and tasks to be associated with forms. However, users with permissions to the child items (risks, issues, lessons, and tasks) have predominately accessed the items via the respective logs opposed to via the Summary of Activities tables in the respective forms.
- This update enhances permissions for form owners, members, and reviewers and Governance Platform owners and members. Now form owners, members, area owners, members, as well as reviewers and approvers, can now edit and delete risks, issues, lessons, or tasks associated with a form they have access to and directly via the respective logs. Identical logic has been implemented for child items.
Additionally, owners of risks, issues, lessons, or tasks tied to a form or area can now be removed by the owner of the child item via the respective log or the Summary of Activities table. This functionality grants more flexibility and control over the governance of these items.
Note: If a risk, issue, lesson, or task is created directly in the logs and is retrospectively associated with an area or form, it cannot currently be deleted. This limitation is still under development, and further improvements to this function are planned for a future release.
