Updates to the inherited permission logic within incident management

  • We have enhanced the inherited permissions structure for incidents to align with other areas of the Platform.
  • Users can continue to create or edit an incident and add associated risks, issues, lessons, and tasks. Each of these associations can have different Owners or Members (including DP Leads) who may not be directly assigned to the incident form itself. The owners and members of the association items continue to be displayed in the Summary of Activities table within the Outcome & Closure tab of the incident form, as well as in the respective Governance logs, with users having the ability to edit these associations from both locations.
  • With this update, users who are added as owners, members, or notified users of any associated risks, issues, lessons, or tasks will now also have direct edit access to the incident form itself, in addition to their associations. They will have editing privileges both in the Summary of Activities table and in the respective logs. Additionally, these users can edit or delete the associations, even if they are not the owner or member of the associated items. However, they will not have the ability to delete the incident form.
  • The same logic applies for child tasks created under associated risks, issues, or lessons linked to an incident.
